Esports Community For Men’s Health
Mustache Masters was created for the sole purpose of bringing awareness to men’s mental health. The heart of what brought the Mustache Masters crew together was that we felt the esports community needed an outlet to raise awareness for men’s mental health. Esports is powered by individuals who drive themselves everyday to achieve self-mastery, connect with like-minded individuals, and find an outlet to express their competitive needs. This road can be difficult with nights of grinding games, using competition as an escape, and finding oneself isolated at times. We have been there, and that is why we have created this community.
We welcome all new and old to partake in our community event, in which all donations are given to the Movember Foundation.
Our Pillars
Charity
At the end of the day, this is what it’s all about. The Mustache Masters is all about doing the most good we can for causes that are important. For us that means causes dedicated to improving men’s health and in particular mental health. Everything we do for the Masters is aimed at that, whether through raising money for charity or raising awareness through conversations in our broadcasts. This is the most important pillar we hold to, it’s all for the cause.
Camaraderie
Our bond as friends is a huge part of what makes the Masters all that it is and we aim to let that bond shine through on broadcast. This means lots of banter, joking, ribbing and goading each other into escalating stretch goals, but it’s all in good fun. Part of building a welcoming community is building a kind one, where we are understanding and appreciative of one another.
Fun
At its core, gaming is all about having a good time, and that’s a principle we aim to uphold at the Mustache Masters. While the Masters exists to address serious issues we’re going to have a great time doing it. Every game, broadcast segment, stretch goal, it’s all about fun. We want you to split your sides laughing at the antics and feel good about doing it the whole way through.
Competition
Esports is all about competition. About pushing your abilities to new heights and overcoming obstacles. At the Mustache Masters we create a tournament where grassroots teams can test themselves against the best of the region, all in service of a great cause. Competition itself creates a healthy outlet for building bonds and The integrity of that competition is central to what we do.
Community
We are four guys who came together around a shared love of Counter Strike to create an event that addresses a pressing concern we saw within our scene. From that initial seed a community has grown. We want everyone who participates in the Masters to feel a part of it. Every player, guest, donor, and fan helps make the Masters all that it is. And we aim to make that community a welcoming one. An area where you can break down your boundaries and open up about the issues you face and be greeted with respect and understanding.
