Our History
Mustache Masters began as an idea between friends, how can we use what we know to impact the awareness of Men’s Health and its importance.
We are a bunch of nerds that have been in the esports world for the majority of our lives and with that have been afforded a looking glass into the many different communities that collect under the esports banner. Through attending Counter-strike LANs throughout the Northeast be it as a competitor, broadcaster, supporter, referee, organizer or caster we got to understand our local community. The feats of what can be achieved in and out of the server were on display but also our struggles. Esports requires dedication and time, hours behind a monitor in hopes that you can do the impossible; push the limits. That takes a toll. We see it, we’ve been there and we want to say, we are here for you, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. We want you to know that no matter where life goes after leaving the server, the team or the competition, that there are communities out there to embrace and allow you to express who you are. We welcome you to join us as we push for Men’s Health awareness.
Continue to push for mastery and find enjoyment in what you love,
- The Mustache Masters Team
Mustache Masters 1
November 2019
For Mustache Masters Season 1, the team put together a 16 team tournament where community and professional teams battled it out to raise donations for men’s health. Talent from around the CS:GO community helped cast games and raise donations on the two day broadcast. Through our efforts we were able to raise over $10,000 for the Movember Foundation! A legend was born, also Roy ate a whole onion on broadcast, unforgettable.
Mustache Masters 2
November 2020
We continued our cause in the great city of Philadelphia with the help of friends and local companies. Threads, HyperX, ESEA, Fragadelphia, and NSG supported our dream, letting this event become a reality. Fighting off covid-19 we were able to perform some of the most memorable fundraising goals, and witnessed awesome matches played by every caliber of player. In this event we almost tripled what we were able to fundraise our first year with over $27,300 being raised! WOW! We were also featured on NBC Sports Philadelphia, check it out.
Mustache Masters 3
November 2021
For MM3 the team was in a wonderous wintery environment this time around with snow, flannels, and clown Ryan. 27 teams competed leading to Bad News Bears being crowned the season 3 champions. Our quest to raise awareness for men’s health reached our standing record of $27,400+ fundraised! We dedicate this event to Steve's dog Teddy, who reminded us that what might be a chill moment to a normal person could instantly turn into pure chaos when a puppy is involved.
